Ground-up work rewards preparation. Gear takes months to arrive, underground has to be right before concrete, and every inspection has a place in the schedule it can't easily move. We plan the electrical package against the construction schedule rather than reacting to it week by week.
We build from the engineered set — reviewing drawings for conflicts, submitting gear and fixtures for approval, and issuing RFIs early, while a change costs a phone call instead of a demo crew — and coordinate with structural, mechanical and the ceiling package so raceway and fixtures don't collide above the grid.
Preconstruction and underground
Before the first trench we take off the job, review drawings against specifications, and get submittals moving on switchgear, panels and long-lead equipment. Utility coordination — service point, metering arrangement, what the utility requires — gets confirmed early, because that item sinks more schedules than any other on a ground-up job.
Underground is unforgiving: duct banks, conduit runs, stub-ups and grounding electrode work all have to be located, sized and inspected before the slab goes down. Service and distribution installation covers main gear, transformers where present, feeders and panelboards, checked for working clearance and future maintenance access.

Rough-in, trim and inspection sequencing
Rough-in runs ahead of the other trades by design — branch raceway, boxes, feeders and lighting whips go in against the framing and ceiling schedule so drywall and grid are never waiting on electrical. Inspections are sequenced with the general contractor with enough lead time to correct without delaying the next trade.
Trim brings devices, fixtures, gear terminations and life-safety components, followed by testing: circuit verification, controls commissioning, emergency lighting function and equipment startup with the responsible vendors.

Labeling, as-builts and closeout
A building is handed over more than once — to the owner, a facility manager, and whoever gets called two years later. We label panels, disconnects and feeders consistently, produce panel schedules matching installed circuits, and mark up as-built conditions where field routing differed from design.
Closeout includes O&M material, controls documentation and a walkthrough with the owner or facility team so the systems are understood before we leave.
