Storage projects go sideways when the hardware is chosen before the load is understood. The useful first question isn't which battery, but what must keep running during an outage and for how long — servers, refrigeration, security, emergency lighting, point of sale, or a few production circuits.

The result is a critical-load list with measured demand behind it, which is what the supplier needs to size the system sensibly — separating those loads usually means a critical-load panel and branch circuit rework, real scope that's easy to underestimate.

Integration and installation
Tying storage into an existing building means working with what's already there — available space at the service, the condition of existing gear, and how the system will be isolated for maintenance. Installation covers inverter and battery connections, overcurrent protection, disconnects, a bypass arrangement so the building can operate with the system out of service, and grounding. Placement needs the clearance, ventilation and ambient conditions the manufacturer specifies — a mechanical room that looks empty isn't automatically a suitable location.

Commissioning and realistic expectations
Startup is done to the manufacturer's requirements, verifying connections, torque and protection, and functionally testing transfer to backup and back. Runtime is a function of installed capacity and actual load, and changes as the load changes — we will not put a number of hours in writing that the equipment and your load profile don't support. Handoff includes labeling, a written record of what's protected, and a walkthrough of the isolation and bypass procedure.
